Using the C2C Crochet method, follow the graph I created alternating between the black and white yarn when needed. Here’s the PDF I created using Stitch Fiddle. Available for Free Download

Notes:

When doing a C2C graph, you will weave back and forth from one corner to the other until you reach the complete opposite side of the graph. This threw me off for my first one because I wanted to read it from right to left, but you also have to read it from left to right.

The best way to switch colors is to stop just before you pull the last two stitches through on the third double crochet and slip the new color through the last two stitches.

Once you finish all of the squares on the graph and you’re on the other end of the graph, you’ll tie off your last stitch. If you’re anything like me, you’ll have a lot of ends to weave in!

C2C Herringbone BlanketFind two ends that are close, pull to tighten in case they are loose. Tie a double knot between them. Then, you will use your yarn needle to thread one of the yarn ends through. Weave the yarn through the bottom of the three double crochet section on the back side. Be sure to stay with the same colors so it’s not obvious that you wove in the ends. Cut off the rest of the yarn.  C2C Herringbone BlanketC2C Herringbone BlanketContinue this process until all of the ends are woven in.C2C Herringbone Blanket

Notes:

You will have less ends to weave in if you’re good at using bobbins. 🙂 This was my first time doing a C2C graph, so I wasn’t good at figuring out how much yarn was needed for each stitch and the next rows, etc. so I thought it was easier just to cut the yarn and start again each time. There were a few occasions when I knew I only needed one stitch of a color, so I figured out how much I needed for that. Usually though, it was either too much yarn (waste) or not enough and I had to cut more anyway (waste).
