Wire Wrapped Rocks

Whenever I go walking on the beach or just outside, sometime rocks catch my attention! I think to myself that I need to do something cool with them!

Materials:

Step 1:

Use your wire cutters to cut a long piece of wire. Make sure it’s long enough to be wrapped around your rock in a cool pattern and still have enough to make a little loop to connect it to things at the end.

Step 2:

Figure out how you want to wrap the wire around your rock so it’s artsy, but also secure in holding it together. I liked to put the rock in the middle of the wire and wrap from both sides so it’s more secure.

Step 3:

Slowly start wrapping your wire around your rock. When it’s wrapped the way you want it to be, finish it off by twisting the two ends of the wire together so you can make a loop. Use your jewelry pliers to bend the wire into a loop.

Cut off any additional wire with your wire cutters.

Step 4:

Repeat the steps on as many rocks as you would like. Feel free to experiment with how you wrap each rock!
