Knitting an infinity scarf on the knitting loom couldn’t be easier!
Materials:
- Loom (Extra Large)
- Loom hook
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Step 1:
Tie a small knot of the sideways peg to get started.
Step 2:
Wrap yarn around each peg clockwise using the sideways peg as your starting point. When you’re back at the starting point, push the yarn to the bottom of the peg. Wrap yarn around each peg clockwise again so there are two loops on each peg.
(Note: When you’re back at each starting point, wrap the working yarn around the sideways peg a few times just to hold the wrapped yarn in place)
Step 3:
Pull the bottom loop over the top loop moving counterclockwise until you’re at the beginning again. Now, you’ll have one loop left on each peg of the loom.
Step 4:
Wrap the yarn clockwise around the loom until there are two rows again. Pull the bottom loop over the top loop all the way around the loom.
Repeat step 4 until you reach the desired length for your infinity scarf.
Finishing:
Step 5:
Cut the working yarn leaving a small tail maybe about 4 to 6 inches.
Step 6:
Tie a knot around the last stitch to keep it from unraveling before you completely finish it.
Step 7:
Cut a longer strand of yarn (1/2 yard) and thread it on the yarn needle.
Step 8:
Thread each loop from the pegs to the strand of yarn on your needle.
Step 9:
Once all of the stitches are on the strand, tie a knot to finish without pulling tight.
Ta-dah!! 🙂 Enjoy!
