Materials:
- 2 Cups Baking Soda
- 1 Cup Citric Acid
- 15 drops doTERRA Peppermint Oil (Click on SHOP and Search for the oil you desire)
- Witch Hazel
- Spray Bottle
- Muffin Pan
- Parchment Paper (Optional)
Step 1:
Put some witch hazel into a spray bottle and set aside.
Step 2:
Mix baking soda and citric acid in a bowl. Add in approximately 15 drops of essential oil. I used my peppermint oil!
Step 3:
Spray the entire surface of the baking soda and citric acid mixture just until it’s slightly moistened and mix with your hand. Continue spraying the witch hazel and mixing until the mixture starts to clump together. Try not to soak the area too much at once or you’ll cause it to fizz and it won’t stay together correctly.
Step 4:
Once it starts clumping together after you squeeze it, firmly press the mixture into your muffin tin. I used a mini muffin tin and they are a perfectly cute size!
Step 5:
After you fill your holes on the muffin tin, flip your muffin tin over onto some parchment paper (if you’re using some) and allow to dry for 1 hour. I liked using the parchment paper because it was less of a mess and I was able to move it to another work surface while they dried.
Step 7:
After the bath bombs are dried, put them in a cute little glass jar near your bathtub!
To Use:
Add 1-2 (if they’re mini like mine) to a warm bath and allow it to fizz fully. The essential oils add a nice little touch to the bath water!
