Materials:

  • Small Jars (8 oz)
    • I got my jars at the dollar tree, but these Kerr Jars are the perfect size.
  • White sugar
  • Dawn renewal (or generic) hand renewal soap
  • Butter knife or spoon for mixing
  • Optional: Ribbon or string for a bow
  • Optional: Scoop (I used a jumbo craft stick)

Step 1:

Fill your jar with ⅔ sugar.

Step 2:

Fill the other 1/3 of your jar with hand renewal soap.

Step 3:

Mix the contents together with your knife or spoon. NOTE: you may need to add more sugar or soap after mixing the contents and they begin to solidify.

Step 4:

Attach the scoop (or craft stick) with some decorative string and tie it around the jar. 🙂 This part is optional, but it does give it a nice finished look, especially if it’s going to be a gift for someone!

How to use the sugar scrub:

  1. Place a small amount of sugar scrub in hand.
  2. Rub hands together to massage the sugar scrub into the hands
  3. Rinse hands thoroughly and dry.
  4. Finish with lotion.

(Also works really well as a foot scrub with a pumice stone!)
